In case you don’t know, Halloween is my absolute FAVORITE holiday of the year! Since I’m in nursing school, I thought that having a medical-themed Halloween party would be amazing, but I think most of these ideas would be excellent for a graduation party as well! I found some insanely creative ideas on Pinterest that I fell in love with and wanted to share with anyone planning their next medical-themed party!
Medical-themed party food ideas:
If you’re great at baking or have a few extra dollars to spare for some professionally made cookies, then I recommend going for these super cute organ sugar cookies!
Put some marshmallows in a glass jar with a DIY cotton ball label.
Because who doesn’t love cake pops?!
Your guests will be amused with these chocolate-dipped “rectal thermometer” pretzel sticks! Which, by the way, seem quick and easy to make!
Ahh, yes. The best healer of all… kisses!
The band-aid wrappers really add the extra touch 🙂
I personally think this would be great for either Halloween or a graduation party! But maybe that’s my Halloween bias speaking… Regardless, this one is sure to be a hit with your guests.
Twizzlers as clogged arteries? So creative!
Surely, these “happy pills” candy pill bottles are a MUST for any medical-themed party or graduation!
Another creative way to hold candies and other goodies (or even jello shots) is with these “medicine cups.”
Okay, how cool are these cupcakes?!
If you can’t afford to get some custom-made cupcakes like the ones above, you can buy cupcakes of your choice from your local grocery and then simply top them with these decorative medical-themed toppers!
Now, this next one is for those of you who are a sucker for puns. These mammo-grahams had me cracking up laughing!
If you plan to serve alcohol at your party or graduation, then these medical-themed jello shots in a syringe are a must.
How great are these “blood bags” you can drink from?! Try using these with fruit punch, sangria, or any other liquid that’s red, or can be turned red by adding food coloring.
Another creative way to serve jello shots is with these cups that look like urine specimen cups.
Now for the party decorations!
And speaking of specimens, make sure your guests don’t get their “specimens” mixed up with these drink labels.
Intubation tubes, anyone?
Check out these sterile-wrapped utensils.
Greet your guests with Doctor/Nurse Bones 🙂
Emesis basins and bedpans used to hold your chips, dips, salsa, and more.
I love how these lab curtains really set the mood and the theme before guests even enter the party! If you’re throwing a Halloween party, then I would definitely try incorporating them somehow.
I love this creative idea to make a backdrop that looks like the x-ray dark room.
You can also blow up some gloves to use in place of balloons.
Not only do I love this balloon display, but the colors will give both a beautiful and classy feel to your party.
Of course, your party won’t be complete without a fun game to play! A twist on a classic game, have your guests try to pin the bandaid on the boo-boo!
Lastly, don’t forget the photo booth props! Surely this is a great way to get your guests to take lots of pictures and make lasting memories!
